Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) ELISA kit

Product Overview

This kit employs a double-antibody sandwich ELISA method with a biotin-streptavidin system to quantitatively detect double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) content in samples. It detects dsRNA with lengths of 40 base pairs (bp) or longer, regardless of nucleotide sequence.

The microplate wells are pre-coated with anti-dsRNA antibodies. After adding the sample and incubation, unbound components are washed away. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added, forming an antibody-antigen-antibody complex. Following another wash step, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-labeled streptavidin is introduced. After thorough washing, the substrate TMB is added. Under HRP catalysis, TMB is converted to a blue color, which changes to yellow upon acid termination. The intensity of the color correlates positively with the dsRNA content in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at 450 nm using a microplate reader, and the dsRNA concentration is calculated based on the standard curve.

Transportation and Storage

1. Store the kit at 2–8°C, avoiding direct sunlight. Shelf life: 12 months.
2. After opening, unused coated strips should be sealed and stored at 2–8°C for use within the shelf life.
3. Other components should be promptly returned to 2–8°C storage after use and used within the shelf life.
